Data Analytics Instructor

Transfotech Academy Bangladesh, a concern of Shera International Group, trains professionals to work as real analysts, not tool trainers. Learners start as spreadsheet users and finish as working analysts: cleaning and modelling real business data, querying live databases, building interactive dashboards, automating reporting, and defending numbers with verified judgment. Classes run evenings and weekends so you keep your current role.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Deliver live classes over 3 months in a dual-track cohort (beginners and intermediate learners together).

• Teach analytics fundamentals: data quality, metric design, framing business questions—thinking before tools.

• Teach Excel and Google Sheets: cleaning, lookup logic, dynamic arrays, pivots, dashboards, AI-assisted work.

• Teach SQL: databases, joins, aggregation, CTEs, window functions, verified correctness.

• Teach Power BI and Looker Studio: data modelling, DAX, interactive dashboards, publishing, design.

• Teach AI-assisted analysis: exploratory analysis with Claude/ChatGPT, prompt workflows, AI-written Python, all verified.

• Run weekly 1-hour doubt-clearing labs: foundational review for beginners, code/dashboard clinics for intermediate learners.

• Set and grade: 10 weekly assignments, 2 checkpoint tests, 3 module projects, 1 capstone with live defence.

• Mentor learners through portfolio projects and capstone defence; guide job search and interview prep.

• Maintain 70% minimum student satisfaction. Submit lesson plans and rubrics for approval.

REQUIREMENTS

• 3+ years of professional data analysis or analytics engineering experience (industry, consultancy, in-house).

• Hands-on expertise: Excel/Google Sheets (cleaning, lookup, arrays, pivots), SQL (joins, aggregation, window functions), Power BI or Looker Studio.

• Built and published at least one end-to-end dashboard or analysis pipeline in a BI tool.

• Strong SQL: write complex queries (CTEs, window functions, multiple joins), explain join correctness.

• Understand data quality, metric design, audit mindset. Can spot wrong numbers and trace why.

• Teaching fluency in English and Bangla. Can explain SQL joins or DAX to someone with no database background.

• Comfortable teaching both beginners and intermediate learners in one cohort (dual-track delivery).

• Conduct live demonstrations, hands-on labs, assessments, and capstone defence reviews.

• Bachelor's degree in any discipline.

Analytics & Spreadsheets:

• Excel (Power Query, dynamic arrays, dashboards)

• Database tools (pgAdmin, DBeaver, or your client)

• ChatGPT, Claude (exploratory analysis, prompt workflows, verification)

• Python basics (pandas, with AI assistance)

Data quality frameworks, metric design, star schema modelling (fact/dimension tables), SQL best practices, DAX measurement patterns, visualization design principles.

• Portfolio showing outcomes: time saved, automation built, dashboard impact.
