Role Description The Cutting Machine Operator is a full-time, on-site role based at the H International Garments facility in Dhaka. This role is responsible for operating fabric cutting machines according to production plans and style specifications, ensuring accurate pattern placement and minimal material waste. Daily tasks include setting up machines, loading and aligning fabric, monitoring cutting quality, and performing basic maintenance and cleaning of equipment. The Cutting Machine Operator will follow safety guidelines, coordinate with supervisors and other production team members, and maintain clear records of completed cutting orders. The role also involves identifying defects or inconsistencies in fabric and reporting issues promptly to support smooth production flow.
Qualifications

• Ability to safely operate cutting machines and related equipment, with attention to accurate measurements and pattern layout.
• Knowledge of garment production processes, basic understanding of fabric types, and familiarity with cutting room procedures.
• Strong focus on quality, ability to identify cutting errors or fabric defects, and commitment to following standard operating procedures.
• Basic numeracy and ability to read and interpret cutting plans, markers, and work orders.
• Physical ability to stand for extended periods, handle fabric rolls, and work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Effective communication skills and ability to work cooperatively with supervisors and team members.
• Prior experience as a cutting machine operator or in a garment factory cutting room is preferred.
• Willingness to follow safety, health, and compliance guidelines and participate in training as needed.
