Credit Officer

Role Description The Credit Officer is a full-time, on-site role based in Dhaka, Bangladesh. This role is responsible for assessing credit applications, analyzing financial information, and determining creditworthiness in alignment with organizational policies and risk guidelines. The Credit Officer will maintain accurate credit records, monitor repayment performance, and support the development and implementation of credit policies that serve program participants and partners. Day-to-day tasks include preparing credit reports, collaborating with finance and program teams to ensure timely disbursement and collection, and providing clear communication to stakeholders about credit terms and decisions. The role also involves contributing to process improvements, supporting audits and compliance activities, and offering guidance on credit-related issues to strengthen the organization’s financial sustainability.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong Credit Management and Credit evaluation skills.
• Candidates should possess solid Analytical Skills to interpret financial data and assess risk.
• Candidates should possess foundational knowledge in Finance, including basic accounting and budgeting concepts.
• Candidates should possess effective Communication skills for interacting with program participants, partners, and internal teams.
• Candidates should possess attention to detail, integrity, and the ability to follow established policies and procedures.
• Candidates should possess proficiency in MS Office tools and basic financial software; experience with microfinance or nonprofit contexts is an advantage.
• Candidates should possess at least a bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Candidates should possess the ability to work collaboratively in diverse teams and demonstrate commitment to NISA Development Foundation’s mission and values.
