Cosmetic Pharmacist

Cynoreal is a science-driven skincare brand building high-quality, effective skincare products specifically for the needs of modern Bangladeshi consumers.

We are a fast-growing, highly lean team. As we scale our product range and manufacturing capabilities, we are looking for a Lead Pharmacist who can take ownership of our pharmaceutical/cosmetic formulation, quality, production, and technical operations.

This is not a purely managerial position. We are looking for someone who is comfortable getting hands-on in the lab, working directly with formulations and production, solving problems, maintaining documentation, and building systems from the ground up.

As our Lead Pharmacist, you will be responsible for maintaining the technical and quality standards of Cynoreal's products while actively participating in day-to-day formulation and manufacturing operations.

You will work closely with the founders and our production team to develop, improve, scale, and maintain our products.

Formulation & Product Development

• Develop, optimize, and troubleshoot skincare formulations including cleansers, serums, moisturizers, sunscreens, and other cosmetic products.
• Conduct formulation trials, stability testing, compatibility testing, and performance evaluation.
• Research ingredients, raw materials, and emerging formulation technologies.
• Improve existing formulations based on stability, sensory, performance, and production feedback.
• Support scale-up of formulations from laboratory batches to commercial production.
• Maintain detailed formulation records, batch sheets, and development documentation.

Production & Manufacturing

• Work hands-on with the production team during manufacturing and batch processing.
• Oversee and participate in weighing, mixing, emulsification, filling, and other manufacturing processes where required.
• Troubleshoot production issues such as viscosity changes, separation, pH variation, air entrapment, texture problems, color/odor changes, and batch inconsistencies.
• Ensure manufacturing processes are followed consistently and efficiently.
• Help establish and improve SOPs for production and laboratory operations.

Quality Assurance & Quality Control

• Establish and maintain quality standards for raw materials, bulk products, and finished products.
• Conduct and/or oversee basic QC testing including pH, viscosity, appearance, odor, weight, and other relevant parameters.
• Investigate deviations, complaints, failed batches, and product quality issues.
• Implement appropriate corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
• Maintain batch records, QC records, specifications, SOPs, and other quality documentation.
• Support implementation of GMP principles across our operations.

Regulatory & Compliance

• Assist with BSTI and other applicable regulatory requirements for cosmetic products.
• Maintain technical documentation required for regulatory compliance.
• Ensure formulations, labels, claims, manufacturing processes, and documentation remain compliant with applicable regulations.
• Support inspections, audits, and regulatory submissions when required.

Team & Operations

• Work directly with founders, production staff, and other technical team members.
• Train production and laboratory personnel on SOPs, hygiene, safety, and quality procedures.
• Help build scalable systems for formulation, production, QC, and documentation.
• Identify operational inefficiencies and implement practical improvements.
  

• B.Pharm / M.Pharm from a recognized institution.
• Strong understanding of pharmaceutical/cosmetic formulation and manufacturing.
• Hands-on experience with cosmetic formulation, skincare products, or personal-care manufacturing is strongly preferred.
• Good understanding of emulsions, surfactants, preservatives, active ingredients, rheology, pH, stability, and ingredient compatibility.
• Familiarity with GMP, QA/QC, batch documentation, and regulatory requirements.
• Strong problem-solving ability and attention to detail.
• Comfortable working directly in a laboratory and production environment.
• Able to independently troubleshoot formulation and production problems.
• Strong documentation and organizational skills.
• Willingness to learn, experiment, test, and iterate.
