Role Description The Collections Specialist is a full-time, on-site role based in Mymensingh, Bangladesh. This position is responsible for managing debt collection activities, including contacting clients regarding overdue accounts, negotiating repayment plans, and ensuring timely cash collection in line with company policies. The role involves maintaining accurate records of collection efforts, updating account statuses, and preparing regular reports for the finance and risk teams. The Collections Specialist will respond to customer inquiries, resolve payment-related issues, and coordinate with internal departments to support effective account management. The role requires consistent adherence to regulatory and internal compliance standards while maintaining professional, respectful communication with all clients.
Qualifications
- Strong debt collection and cash collection skills, with experience managing overdue accounts and repayment arrangements.
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities for interacting with clients and internal stakeholders.
- Solid understanding of finance principles relevant to consumer and corporate lending.
- Ability to analyze account information, identify risks, and recommend appropriate collection actions.
- Proficiency in using MS Office and financial or collection management software.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Accounting, or a related field is preferred.
- High level of integrity, attention to detail, and adherence to regulatory and organizational policies.
- Capacity to work in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple accounts, and meet collection targets.
