Co-Founder & Chief Technology Officer

Role Description The Co-Founder & Chief Technology Officer (CTO) will be a key member of the founding team, responsible for defining and executing the school’s technology vision and strategy. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Dhaka, involving close collaboration with academic leadership and operations to integrate technology into teaching, learning, and school management. Day-to-day responsibilities include designing and maintaining IT infrastructure, selecting and implementing educational platforms, ensuring data security, and overseeing hardware and software procurement. The CTO will lead the development of digital tools and processes that support classroom instruction, student assessment, and administrative efficiency. The role also includes building and managing a small technical team, setting standards for technology use, and continuously evaluating new solutions that enhance the school’s educational mission.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in leading technology strategy, system architecture, and IT operations, preferably in education, startups, or mission-driven organizations.
• Strong skills in software, network, and cloud infrastructure management, including security best practices and data protection compliance.
• Experience implementing and managing EdTech solutions such as learning management systems, student information systems, and classroom technology tools.
• Ability to build and lead technical teams, manage vendors, and collaborate effectively with non-technical stakeholders.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Demonstrated problem-solving skills, strategic thinking, and the ability to design scalable, sustainable technology solutions under resource constraints.
• Strong communication skills in English; proficiency in Bangla is highly beneficial for on-site collaboration in Dhaka.
• Commitment to learner-centered education, inclusivity, and ethical use of technology, with enthusiasm for contributing as a co-founder to a growing institution.
