Role Description

The Chief Technology Officer (CTO) is a full-time, on-site role based in Dhaka, Bangladesh, responsible for the Group’s technology function, reporting directly to the Managing Director and accountable for technology leadership across all Standard MH Group entities. The ITS Department sits at the centre of the Group’s active digital transformation journey, modernizing enterprise systems, strengthening data infrastructure and enabling operational technology across manufacturing, retail, distribution and services. CTO navigates a complex, matrix environment: influencing without authority across autonomous business units, managing a diverse technology portfolio spanning legacy systems and modern cloud architecture, and maintaining cyber security resilience in an increasingly threat-exposed landscape. The role requires balancing competing business priorities with disciplined governance, while operating as a credible technology thought leader at Board and executive level.

Qualifications       

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or a related field (essential).   
• Minimum 15 years of progressive IT experience, with at least 5 years in a senior technology leadership role (CTO, VP Technology, Head of IT or equivalent) in a complex, multi-entity or group organisation.
• Demonstrated expertise in Project Management, leading complex, multi-stakeholder initiatives from concept to implementation.
• Extensive leadership experience in senior technology roles, preferably in manufacturing, supply chain, or large-scale operations.
• Advanced understanding of enterprise systems, cloud platforms, data management, and cybersecurity best practices.
• Ability to build, mentor, and retain high-performing technology teams, and to collaborate effectively with executive and operational stakeholders.
