Salary

Salary Range for this role is 30000 - 50000 BDT.

Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for a Chief Operation and Financial Officer, based in Dhaka, Bangladesh. The chosen candidate will oversee operational and financial activities, ensuring efficiency in resource management and alignment with organizational goals. Day-to-day responsibilities will include managing budgets, streamlining operations, developing team leadership initiatives, and creating strategies for business growth. Coordination with different departments to improve performance and maintain consistent communication will also be a key part of this role.

Qualifications

• Expertise in Operations Management to oversee and optimize organizational processes.
• Strong Analytical Skills for evaluating financial and operational data to support informed decision-making.
• Proficiency in Team Management, including leadership and team development capabilities.
• Excellent Communication skills for effective collaboration and stakeholder management.
• Experience in Budgeting, including planning, monitoring, and financial reporting.
• Auditing The reports sent by teams under management
• Ability to work strategically and lead a diverse team towards achieving company objectives.
• Previous experience in the tourism or hospitality industry is preferred.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field is required.
• Knowledgeable in technology and information system

Education

• Professional certification such as CA, CIA, CMA, ACCA, or CFA preferred
• Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) in Finance, Accounting or Accounting & Information System
• Knowledge of Accounting Information system Operations and financial settlements
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field
• Minimum Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or related field.

Experience

• At least 2 years
• The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s): Manufacturing (FMCG), Shipping, Tourism, Trading or Export/Import

Additional Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience, including at least 2-5 years in internal audit, control, or compliance leadership roles.
• Sound knowledge on overall banking operations, control & compliance policies of the accounting in Bangladesh.
• Strong understanding of Taxation frameworks.
• Strong knowledge and experience with Financial Statements and Finance
• Proficiency in Journal Entries (Accounting) and management of Fixed Assets
• Excellent Analytical Skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed financial decisions
• Familiarity with accounting software and tools
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Strong organizational and time-management abilities
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team environment

Major Roles & Responsibilities:

• Supervise total administration of Accounting, Internal Control and Compliance (ICC).
• Develop and update the Internal Control & Compliance policy.
• Preparation and submission of annual financial reports and Taxation.
• Provide strategic leadership to the company teams, ensuring professionalism, objectivity, and ethical conduct.
• Report significant control issues and risk exposures to senior management and the Audit Committee.
• Identify control gaps, assess risks, and recommend corrective actions to management for process improvement.
• Monitor and constant follow-up compliance of internal and external audit findings.
