Role Description The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) is a full-time, on-site leadership role based in Dhaka, Bangladesh. The CFO will oversee all financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, financial planning, and cash flow management. Responsibilities include managing financial reporting and analysis, preparing and reviewing financial statements, and ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards and local regulations. The CFO will develop and implement financial strategies to support growth, advise senior leadership on financial risks and opportunities, and work closely with other departments to align financial goals with business objectives. The role also involves leading the finance team, optimizing internal controls, coordinating audits, and supporting strategic decisions related to investments and major projects.
Qualifications

• Strong foundation in Finance, with proven experience in senior financial leadership roles.
• Demonstrated expertise in Financial Planning, including budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial strategy.
• Ability to prepare, review, and interpret Financial Statements with attention to accuracy and compliance.
• Experience in Financial Reporting, including management reports, regulatory filings, and stakeholder presentations.
• Advanced Analytical Skills to assess financial performance, identify trends, and support data-driven decision-making.
• Relevant academic background such as a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
• Professional certification such as CA, CPA, CMA, or ACCA is highly beneficial.
• Experience in the publishing, media, or related industries is an advantage.
• Proficiency in financial software and ERP systems, along with strong Excel skills.
• Ability to lead and develop a finance team, communicate clearly with non-financial stakeholders, and work effectively on-site in Dhaka.
