About the Position

Huq Group is looking for an experienced and highly skilled Chemical Engineer to lead and manage Technical Material (TC) production for our chemical manufacturing operations.

The ideal candidate should have strong practical knowledge and hands-on experience in chemical process development, Technical Material (TC) manufacturing, process optimization, scale-up, quality control, plant operations, and R&D.

Candidates with experience in developing or manufacturing proprietary/patented chemical products and formulations will be highly preferred.

Key Responsibilities

* Develop, optimize, and scale up Technical Material (TC) production processes from laboratory to commercial manufacturing.

* Lead chemical process development, pilot trials, plant trials, and commercial production.

* Prepare and optimize manufacturing processes while maintaining consistent product quality.

* Develop appropriate reaction, purification, separation, crystallization, drying, and solvent-recovery processes as applicable.

* Troubleshoot production problems and improve yield, purity, productivity, and process efficiency.

* Establish and monitor critical process parameters and production standards.

* Work closely with R&D, Production, QA/QC, EHS, and Engineering teams.

* Develop technical documentation, SOPs, batch manufacturing procedures, process specifications, and process-flow documentation.

* Ensure production processes comply with applicable chemical safety, environmental, quality, and regulatory requirements.

* Support raw-material evaluation, supplier qualification, and technical procurement.

* Conduct laboratory and pilot-scale experiments and analyze production data.

* Identify opportunities for cost reduction, waste minimization, energy efficiency, and process improvement.

* Maintain strict confidentiality regarding proprietary technologies, formulations, processes, and intellectual property.

Required Qualifications

* B.Sc./M.Sc. in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Applied Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Chemistry, or a related field.

* 5–10+ years of relevant industrial experience in chemical manufacturing, preferably in TC/API/agrochemical/intermediate production.

* Strong practical knowledge of chemical reaction engineering and industrial-scale chemical production.

* Proven experience in Technical Material (TC) production or chemical process development.

* Experience in process scale-up from laboratory → pilot → commercial production.

* Strong understanding of chemical plant equipment, process safety, quality control, and industrial production systems.

* Ability to independently troubleshoot complex production and process problems.

* Strong leadership, analytical, documentation, and team-management skills.

Preferred Experience

Preference will be given to candidates who have experience in:

* Proprietary or patented chemical technologies

* New molecule/intermediate development

* Agrochemical or pesticide Technical Material manufacturing

* Pharmaceutical/API or specialty chemical production

* Process optimization and yield improvement

* Solvent recovery and purification systems

* Chemical plant commissioning and scale-up

* R&D-to-commercial production transfer

* Industrial chemical safety and EHS management
