Role Description The Caregiver is a full-time, on-site role based in Netrokona, providing direct support to patients in coordination with clinical staff. Day-to-day responsibilities include assisting patients with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, mobility support, and feeding, while promoting dignity and independence. The Caregiver monitors basic health indicators, reports changes in patient condition to healthcare professionals, and helps maintain a clean, safe, and hygienic environment. The role also involves offering emotional support, engaging patients in simple therapeutic or recreational activities, and ensuring adherence to care plans and organizational protocols. The Caregiver collaborates with nurses, doctors, and other team members, supports patient education, and participates in training to maintain high-quality care standards.
Qualifications
- Ability to provide compassionate, patient-centered care, including assistance with daily living activities and basic comfort measures.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with patients, families, and multidisciplinary healthcare teams.
- Knowledge of basic health, hygiene, and safety practices, with the ability to follow clinical instructions and report concerns promptly.
- Organizational and time management skills to prioritize tasks, manage multiple patient needs, and maintain accurate simple records.
- Emotional resilience, reliability, and a respectful attitude toward individuals of diverse backgrounds and conditions.
- Willingness to learn and participate in ongoing training related to caregiving, infection prevention, and primary health care practices.
- Prior experience in caregiving, community health, or support work is beneficial; local language proficiency and familiarity with the Netrokona community are an advantage.
