Role Description The Car AC Technician role is a full-time hybrid position based in Dhaka, with primary work at the workshop and some tasks that can be completed from home (such as documentation or remote customer support). The technician will diagnose AC performance issues, identify faults in components such as compressors, condensers, evaporators, and refrigerant lines, and carry out repairs or replacements. Daily tasks include performing leak checks, recharging refrigerant, inspecting electrical connections, and ensuring proper airflow and cooling efficiency. The role also involves conducting preventive maintenance, maintaining accurate service records, and communicating clearly with customers about findings, repair options, and safety considerations. The technician will follow environmental and safety guidelines and collaborate with other team members to ensure timely and high-quality service.
Qualifications

• Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills for vehicle AC systems, including identifying mechanical, electrical, and refrigerant-related issues.
• Knowledge of plumbing and refrigerant line work in automotive AC systems, including safe handling, installation, and repair of hoses, pipes, and fittings.
• Experience with preventive maintenance, such as routine inspections, cleaning components, replacing filters, and checking system performance to prevent breakdowns.
• Understanding of EPA or equivalent environmental and safety regulations related to refrigerant recovery, recycling, and disposal.
• Basic to intermediate electricity skills, including reading wiring diagrams, testing circuits, and repairing electrical faults related to AC systems.
• Previous experience as an automotive AC or general car technician is preferred; vocational training or certification in automotive technology or HVAC is an advantage.
• Ability to use diagnostic tools and equipment safely (manifold gauges, leak detectors, multimeters, vacuum pumps, etc.).
• Attention to detail, strong problem-solving abilities, and a focus on safety and quality workmanship.
• Effective communication skills and a customer-focused attitude, with the ability to explain technical issues in a clear, respectful manner.
• Willingness to work on-site in Dhaka in a hybrid arrangement and to adapt to workshop schedules, including occasional extended hours when needed.
