Role Description The Business Owner at Faento Closery is a full-time, on-site role based in Dhaka, Bangladesh. The Business Owner oversees daily store operations, including opening and closing procedures, inventory control, cash handling, and ensuring a clean, safe, and welcoming environment. This role is responsible for managing supplier relationships, monitoring sales performance, setting pricing strategies, and planning promotions to drive revenue and customer retention. The Business Owner recruits, trains, and supervises team members, sets performance expectations, and supports professional development. The role also includes tracking financial metrics, preparing basic reports, ensuring compliance with local regulations, and making data-informed decisions to guide business growth.
Qualifications

• Demonstrated ability to manage day-to-day retail or small business operations, including inventory management, cash handling, and vendor coordination.
• Experience in team leadership, with skills in scheduling, supervising, coaching, and motivating staff in a customer-facing environment.
• Strong business and financial acumen, including budgeting, basic accounting, performance tracking, and data-driven decision-making.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on customer service, conflict resolution, and relationship building.
• Organizational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage time, and adapt to changing business needs.
• Familiarity with local market trends in Dhaka and an interest in merchandising, marketing, and brand development.
• Comfort using point-of-sale systems and basic office software; willingness to learn new tools and technologies as needed.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Management, or a related field is beneficial; comparable practical experience in business ownership or management is highly valued.
