Role Purpose

The Branch/Country Manager Bangladesh is responsible for the overall operational, commercial, and strategic management of the local branch. The role ensures smooth service delivery, strong customer relationships, compliance with contractual and legal obligations, and sustainable business growth in the Bangladesh market.

The Branch/Country Manager acts as the primary local representative of the company, both commercially and institutionally.

Key Responsibilities

• Branch & Operational Management
• Overall leadership and management of the Bangladesh branch operations
• Ensure high-quality delivery of all local services in line with group standards
• Monitor operational KPIs, service levels, and cost efficiency
• Implement and enforce company policies, processes, and governance standards locally
• Oversight of Local Services
• Supervise and coordinate all locally delivered services
• Ensure services comply with contractual requirements and international quality standards
• Address operational risks and implement continuous improvement initiatives
• Contractor & Partner Management
• Liaise with, manage, and evaluate local contractors and service providers
• Negotiate commercial terms within delegated authority
• Ensure contractor compliance with contractual, legal, and ethical standards
• Resolve performance or service delivery issues
• Customer Management & Care
• Act as senior contact for key customer(s) in Bangladesh
• Ensure excellent customer care and satisfaction in close alignment with the responsible Head of Region.
• Support contract renewals, customer retention, and issue escalation management
• Business Development & Upselling
• Identify upselling and cross-selling opportunities within existing customer base
• Actively contribute to business development initiatives in the country
• Provide market intelligence, competitive insights, and customer feedback to Sales and Management
• Support proposal development and local negotiations when required
• Institutional & Diplomatic Relations
• Maintain and develop professional relationships with German diplomatic representations and relevant institutions in Bangladesh
• Represent the company in official meetings, industry events, and public forums as required
• Contractual & Compliance Steering
• Ensure full compliance with all contractual obligations
• Coordinate with Legal, Finance, and Compliance functions to manage risks
• Oversee local regulatory, labor law, tax, and compliance matters (with expert support)
• Financial & Administrative Oversight
• Contribute to local budgeting, forecasting, and cost control
• Approve local expenses in line with authority limits
• Ensure accurate reporting and transparency of branch financial performance
• Stakeholder & Internal Coordination
• Act as interface between headquarters and local operations
• Ensure clear communication, reporting, and escalation
• Support change initiatives, audits, and internal reviews
