C&H Power Management Company Limited is a professional Operation & Maintenance (O&M) company engaged in the operation and maintenance of a 2 × 660 MW Coal-Fired Supercritical Thermal Power Plant located at Banskhali, Chattogram, Bangladesh, owned by SS Power I Limited.

As the designated O&M Contractor, C&H Power Management Company Limited is responsible for ensuring the safe, reliable, efficient, and continuous operation and maintenance of the power plant following its Commercial Operation Date (COD).

Job Purpose

The Boiler Operator will be responsible for the safe, efficient, and reliable operation of boiler systems and associated auxiliaries of the coal-fired thermal power plant. The incumbent will monitor operating parameters, perform field operations, support unit start-up and shutdown activities, and ensure optimum boiler performance while maintaining strict adherence to safety and environmental standards.

Key Responsibilities

Boiler Operation

• Operate and monitor boiler systems and associated auxiliaries during normal and emergency operating conditions.
• Ensure stable operation of the boiler by maintaining key parameters within prescribed limits.
• Monitor steam generation, combustion efficiency, furnace conditions, and boiler performance.
• Assist in startup, shutdown, loading, and unloading of generating units.

Field Monitoring & Equipment Inspection

• Conduct routine field inspections of boiler equipment and auxiliaries.
• Monitor the condition of burners, pulverizers, air preheaters, soot blowers, fans, dampers, valves, and related systems.
• Identify abnormalities, leakages, unusual noises, vibrations, or unsafe conditions and report them promptly.
• Take immediate corrective actions within operational authority to maintain equipment reliability.

Operational Coordination

• Coordinate closely with the Central Control Room (CCR) and Shift Control Engineer to ensure smooth plant operation.
• Support load adjustments and operational changes as directed by plant management.
• Communicate operational issues and equipment status during shift handovers.
• Assist other operation teams during planned or emergency operational activities.

Safety & Environmental Compliance

• Follow all HSE policies, operating procedures, and permit-to-work requirements.
• Ensure safe operation of boiler systems and compliance with environmental regulations.
• Participate in emergency response activities, safety drills, and incident investigations.
• Maintain good housekeeping standards within assigned operational areas.

Maintenance Support

• Assist maintenance teams during inspections, troubleshooting, and repair activities.
• Participate in equipment isolation, commissioning, testing, and startup following maintenance work.
• Report equipment defects and recommend maintenance actions when required.
• Support preventive maintenance programs and outage activities.

Performance & Reliability

• Monitor boiler efficiency and combustion performance.
• Ensure optimum fuel utilization and operating efficiency.
• Support initiatives aimed at improving plant reliability and reducing operational losses.
• Contribute to achieving plant generation and performance targets.

Documentation & Reporting

• Maintain accurate operating logs and shift reports.
• Record equipment status, operational events, and process parameters.
• Report plant abnormalities, incidents, and operational deviations.
• Ensure proper documentation of operational activities and shift handovers.
