C&H Power Management Company Limited is a professional Operation & Maintenance (O&M) company engaged in the operation and maintenance of a 2 × 660 MW Coal-Fired Supercritical Thermal Power Plant located at Banskhali, Chattogram, Bangladesh, owned by SS Power I Limited.

As the designated O&M Contractor, C&H Power Management Company Limited is responsible for ensuring the safe, reliable, efficient, and continuous operation and maintenance of the power plant following its Commercial Operation Date (COD).

Job Purpose

The Boiler Expert will serve as a key technical specialist responsible for ensuring the reliability, efficiency, safety, and long-term integrity of boiler systems and associated auxiliaries in the 660 MW Supercritical Coal-Fired Thermal Power Plant Unit. The incumbent will provide expert guidance in maintenance planning, condition monitoring, troubleshooting, outage management, and boiler performance optimization to achieve world-class operational standards.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Expertise & Reliability Management

• Act as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for supercritical boiler systems and associated equipment.
• Provide technical support in resolving complex boiler-related operational and maintenance issues.
• Lead root cause analysis (RCA) investigations for boiler failures and recurring equipment problems.
• Recommend corrective and preventive measures to improve boiler reliability and availability.
• Develop and implement reliability improvement programs for critical boiler equipment.

Boiler Maintenance Management

• Support planning and execution of preventive, predictive, corrective, and breakdown maintenance activities.
• Review maintenance procedures and ensure adherence to OEM recommendations and industry best practices.
• Monitor the performance and condition of pressure parts and associated boiler systems.
• Assist in establishing long-term maintenance strategies to reduce forced outages and improve equipment life.

Boiler System Performance

• Monitor and analyze boiler operating parameters, combustion efficiency, heat transfer performance, and equipment health.
• Evaluate performance of water wall tubes, superheaters, reheaters, economizers, air preheaters, burners, soot blowers, ducts, dampers, and associated auxiliaries.
• Identify opportunities for efficiency improvement, fuel optimization, and reduction of operational losses.
• Support plant performance enhancement initiatives through technical evaluation and recommendations.

Shutdown & Overhaul Management

• Provide technical leadership during annual shutdowns, inspections, major repairs, and overhaul activities.
• Review maintenance scopes, inspection reports, and technical specifications.
• Supervise critical repair and replacement activities during outages.
• Coordinate with OEMs, contractors, consultants, and vendors to ensure quality execution of maintenance works.
• Ensure maintenance activities are completed safely, efficiently, and within scheduled timelines.

Condition Monitoring & Diagnostics

• Analyze inspection data, NDT reports, tube failure analysis reports, and operational trends.
• Support condition monitoring programs to identify potential equipment degradation and failures.
• Evaluate equipment health and recommend preventive actions before failures occur.
• Establish predictive maintenance practices to improve boiler reliability and performance.

Safety, Health & Environmental Compliance

• Ensure compliance with company HSE policies, statutory regulations, and industry standards.
• Promote a proactive safety culture throughout boiler maintenance activities.
• Participate in safety audits, risk assessments, and incident investigations.
• Ensure strict adherence to permit-to-work systems and Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures.

Training & Knowledge Development

• Mentor boiler engineers, supervisors, and technicians on technical and maintenance best practices.
• Conduct technical training programs and knowledge-sharing sessions.
• Support competency development initiatives within the maintenance team.
• Promote continuous learning and improvement in boiler maintenance practices.

Documentation & Reporting

• Prepare technical reports, failure analysis reports, inspection findings, and maintenance recommendations.
• Maintain records of boiler performance, reliability studies, and maintenance history.
• Provide technical presentations and improvement proposals to management.
• Ensure proper documentation of maintenance activities and engineering modifications.
