C&H Power Management Company Limited is a professional Operation & Maintenance (O&M) company engaged in the operation and maintenance of a 2 × 660 MW Coal-Fired Supercritical Thermal Power Plant located at Banskhali, Chattogram, Bangladesh, owned by SS Power I Limited.
As the designated O&M Contractor, C&H Power Management Company Limited is responsible for ensuring the safe, reliable, efficient, and continuous operation and maintenance of the power plant following its Commercial Operation Date (COD).

Job Purpose
The Boiler Engineer will be responsible for planning, supervising, and executing maintenance activities of boiler systems and associated auxiliaries to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operation of the 660 MW Supercritical Coal-Fired Thermal Power Plant Unit. The incumbent will play a key role in maximizing boiler availability, minimizing downtime, and supporting overall plant performance objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Boiler Maintenance
- Execute preventive, predictive, corrective, and breakdown maintenance activities for boiler systems and associated equipment.
- Monitor the condition and performance of boiler pressure parts and auxiliary systems.
- Ensure timely identification and resolution of boiler-related defects and abnormalities.
- Assist in implementing maintenance strategies to improve equipment reliability and operational efficiency.
Equipment Monitoring & Reliability
- Supervise maintenance of water wall tubes, superheaters, reheaters, economizers, air preheaters, burners, soot blowers, dampers, and boiler auxiliaries.
- Conduct inspections and condition assessments of boiler equipment.
- Participate in root cause analysis (RCA) of equipment failures and recommend corrective actions.
- Support reliability improvement initiatives and predictive maintenance programs.
Shutdown & Overhaul Activities
- Participate in planned outages, shutdowns, and major overhaul activities.
- Coordinate maintenance activities to ensure completion within scheduled timeframes.
- Supervise contractors and technicians during maintenance works.
- Ensure quality control during installation, repair, and replacement activities.
Safety & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with company HSE policies, safety procedures, and statutory requirements.
- Follow permit-to-work systems and lockout-tagout (LOTO) procedures.
- Participate in risk assessments, safety audits, and incident investigations.
- Promote safe working practices within the maintenance team.
Technical Support & Coordination
- Coordinate with Operations, Electrical, I&C, and Turbine teams for effective maintenance planning and execution.
- Support troubleshooting of operational issues affecting boiler performance.
- Provide technical recommendations for equipment modifications and improvements.
- Assist in preparing maintenance schedules and work plans.
Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain maintenance records, inspection reports, and equipment history data.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance reports.
- Monitor maintenance KPIs and provide recommendations for improvement.
- Ensure proper documentation of maintenance activities and technical findings.
Requirements
Educational Requirements
- B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering / Electrical Engineering from a recognized university.
- Candidates with a Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering and relevant experience may also be considered.
Experience Requirements
- 5–8 years of experience in boiler maintenance services of coal-based thermal power plants.
- Mandatory experience in the maintenance of a 660 MW Supercritical Thermal Power Plant Unit.
- Hands-on experience in boiler pressure parts, combustion systems, air and flue gas systems, and boiler auxiliaries.
- Experience in shutdown planning, maintenance execution, and troubleshooting of boiler systems.
Required Competencies
- Strong technical knowledge of supercritical boiler systems and equipment.
- Understanding of boiler maintenance practices, inspections, and reliability engineering.
- Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills.
- Knowledge of maintenance management systems and technical documentation.
- Strong communication and coordination abilities.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and during plant outages.
- Commitment to safety, quality, and operational excellence.
Compensation & Benefits
Monthly Salary Package
- Basic Salary: BDT 1,70,000/-
- Other Allowances: BDT 30,000/-
- Total Gross Salary: BDT 2,00,000/- per month
