Role Description The Bioinformatician will work full time on-site at TMSS Medical College in Bogra, collaborating with clinicians, researchers, and laboratory teams to support data-driven medical and biological research. Daily activities include processing and analyzing sequencing data, integrating clinical and laboratory datasets, and applying statistical methods to interpret results. The role involves developing and maintaining bioinformatics pipelines, documenting methodologies, and preparing reports, visualizations, and publications to communicate findings. The Bioinformatician will contribute to study design, quality control of data, and the evaluation of emerging tools and technologies relevant to genomics and biomedical research. Participation in multidisciplinary meetings, training sessions, and continuous improvement of institutional research practices is expected.
Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong data-focused skills, including Statistics and Data Analysis.
• Candidates should possess sequencing-related skills, including Sequencing and DNA Sequencing.
• Candidates should possess research-oriented skills, including Research and the ability to design and evaluate scientific studies.
• Proficiency in bioinformatics tools and workflows (e.g., R, Python, relevant libraries, and common genomics software) is highly beneficial.
• Experience with biological databases, data visualization, and interpretation of genomic or clinical data is preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively in multidisciplinary teams are required.
• A bachelor’s or master’s degree in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Biostatistics, Computer Science, or a related field is desirable.
• Experience in medical or clinical research environments and familiarity with ethical and regulatory considerations in healthcare research are an advantage.
