- Prepare and process patient bills for OPD, IPD, emergency, surgery, diagnostics, physiotherapy, and other orthopedic services.
- Verify charges for consultations, bed/room, surgery, implants, medicines, investigations, and other hospital services.
- Ensure accurate billing according to hospital rates, packages, discounts, and approved policies.
- Coordinate with doctors, nurses, pharmacy, laboratory, OT, physiotherapy, and other departments to collect billing information.
- Handle cash, card, mobile banking, and other approved payment methods and issue receipts.
- Process insurance/corporate patient bills and required supporting documents.
- Verify and adjust advance payments, refunds, discounts, and credit bills as authorized.
- Maintain daily billing records and reconcile collections with the cash/finance department.
- Identify and correct billing errors, duplicate charges, or missing services.
- Assist patients and attendants with billing inquiries in a polite and professional manner.
- Maintain confidentiality of patient and financial information.
- Prepare daily/monthly billing and collection reports.
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies, financial procedures, and audit requirements.
- Experience: 2-5 years
- Education: bachelor of commerce (b.com.)
- Skills: hospital billing, medical billing, insurance billing, pharmacy billing, billing process, medical coding & billing, invoice processing, billing services
