The Cave is a members' bar & lounge within Cityscape Lifestyle — a premier private members' building in Gulshan, Dhaka. As custodian of The Cave brand on the operational floor, the Bar Manager is accountable for brand integrity, guest experience, membership culture, and revenue and cost discipline — delivering a premium hospitality experience built on discretion and members-first service.

Key Responsibilities

• Open and close the bar as per SOP; ensure staff, stock, POS and ambience are fully ready before every service
• Supervise service flow and ensure smooth coordination between bar, floor service, kitchen, GRO and security
• Achieve and exceed monthly revenue targets by promoting premium spirits, signature cocktails and high-margin pairings within approved SOPs
• Maintain accurate inventory records, coordinate procurement with management approval, and ensure proper storage, FIFO practice and license compliance
• Control beverage cost, over-pouring, breakage and wastage; ensure daily stock reconciliation with zero tolerance for pilferage
• Ensure every order is entered in POS before service; verify cash, card and discount records and complete end-of-shift reconciliation and handover
• Submit daily sales summary, weekly performance report and monthly revenue & cost analysis
• Deliver discreet, personalized service to members, corporate guests and international guests, with visible floor leadership during peak hours
• Identify potential members and coordinate with sales and GRO teams; ensure membership is introduced naturally, without pushy sales behaviour
• Recruit, train, coach and appraise the bar team; conduct daily briefings and monthly performance reviews
• Enforce license conditions, legal age verification and responsible service procedures at all times
• Coordinate with security on entry control, crowd discipline and incident prevention; handle complaints calmly and professionally
• Propose management-approved experiences (tasting nights, members-only events) focused on ambience and comfort
• Operate approved POS, inventory, CRM and ERP (Odoo) systems accurately and on time
• Additionally own gross margin and payroll productivity across shifts, lead supervisors and assistant managers, and recommend the annual operating plan and budget
• Authorized to: control entry flow with security, remove disruptive guests, stop service if standards are breached, discipline staff as per HR policy
• Not authorized to: change pricing, approve unauthorized events, or compromise brand standards for short-term sales

Requirements

• Experience: 5-10 years
• Education: diploma in hospitality management
• Skills: club operations, restaurant management, food & beverage management, bartending, banquet operations, restaurant operations, front desk operations, venue management
