Position Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated Associate Director, Software Development to lead the design, development, and delivery of modern cloud-native enterprise applications. This leadership role combines technical strategy, solution architecture, people management, software delivery, and engineering excellence.

The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in .NET, React, Python, PostgreSQL, Microservices, AWS, Kubernetes, and CI/CD, along with strong experience in software architecture, project management, and team leadership. Experience with Agentic AI, MCP Servers, and AI-enabled application development is highly desirable.

Engineering Leadership

• Lead and mentor multiple software engineering teams.

• Solution Architecture & Design
• Define scalable, secure, and resilient technology architectures.
• Lead architecture reviews and technical decision-making.
• Establish development standards and architecture governance.
• Drive modernization and cloud transformation initiatives.
• Ensure alignment with enterprise architecture and business objectives.

Software Development & Delivery

• Oversee the full software development lifecycle.
• Lead delivery of enterprise applications built using:

-Python

-REST APIs

Microservices Architecture

• Ensure reliability, scalability, maintainability, and performance of solutions.
• Cloud, DevOps & Platform Engineering
• Lead cloud-native application development on AWS.
• Drive containerization and orchestration using Kubernetes.
• Establish and optimize CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation.
• Promote DevOps, DevSecOps, Infrastructure as Code, and Engineering Excellence practices.
• Improve observability, monitoring, and operational efficiency.

AI & Innovation

• Evaluate and implement Agentic AI solutions.
• Drive adoption of AI-assisted development methodologies.
• Support MCP Server architecture and integrations.
• Explore emerging technologies and recommend strategic improvements.

Project & Program Management

• Partner with Product, Business, and Architecture stakeholders to define roadmaps.
• Manage project plans, resources, budgets, timelines, risks, and dependencies.
• Ensure successful delivery across multiple concurrent initiatives.
• Provide executive-level progress reporting and communication.
• Required Qualifications

Experience

• 10+ years of software development experience.
• 5+ years of engineering leadership or management experience.
• Proven experience leading enterprise-scale software development programs.
• Experience working with globally distributed teams.

Education

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or related field.
• Master's Degree preferred.
