Assistant Team Lead- Finance and Billing( Logistics Industry)

We are seeking an experienced Assistant Team Lead - Finance & Accounting with a strong focus on customer billing, accounts receivable, collections, and financial operations. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience managing the end-to-end billing cycle within the logistics or freight forwarding industry, ensuring invoice accuracy, timely collections, cash flow optimization, and financial reporting.

CargoWise One experience is highly preferred.

• 5+ years of Finance & Accounting experience
• 5+ years of experience in Logistics, Freight Forwarding, Transportation, or Supply Chain
• Proven experience managing high-volume customer billing and invoicing processes
• Experience supporting or supervising finance team members
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial controls

• Accounts Receivable (AR) & Collections
• Revenue Recognition and Billing Accuracy
• Accounts Payable (AP)
• Outstanding Invoice Follow-up
• Bank & Credit Card Reconciliations
• General Ledger and Month-End Close

• Cash Flow Reporting & Forecasting
• Customer and Vendor Communication

• Hands-on CargoWise One experience (preferred)
• Experience in freight forwarding or logistics finance
• ACCA, CPA, CMA, or equivalent certification is a plus
• Advanced Excel skills

• Own and oversee the end-to-end customer billing process.
• Ensure timely and accurate generation of invoices.
• Review shipment and operational data to validate billing accuracy.
• Resolve billing discrepancies and coordinate with operations teams on revenue-related issues.
• Maintain billing compliance and revenue integrity across customer accounts.
• Drive continuous improvements in billing processes and controls.

• Manage customer receivables and aging reports.
• Follow up on outstanding invoices and overdue payments.
• Resolve payment disputes and collection-related issues.
• Improve collection performance and support healthy cash flow.

• Oversee Accounts Payable activities and vendor payments.
• Perform bank and credit card reconciliations.
• Support month-end and year-end closing activities.
• Prepare journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reports.
• Assist with cash flow reporting and forecasting.
