South Point School & College, Banani is looking for passionate, experienced, and dedicated Assistant / Senior Teacher (Chemistry) to join our academic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality Chemistry education for Grades 7–12 under the Cambridge curriculum and preparing students for O Level and A Level examinations.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging Chemistry lessons for Grades 7–12.
- Teach according to the following Cambridge curricula:
- Cambridge Lower Secondary Chemistry – up to Grade 8
- Cambridge IGCSE Chemistry – O Level
- Cambridge GCE Chemistry – A Level
- Develop and implement comprehensive schemes of work covering required topics, skills, and learning outcomes.
- Create an engaging classroom environment that promotes critical thinking, effective communication, problem-solving, and scientific understanding.
- Apply a variety of Cambridge-recommended teaching strategies, methodologies, and learning resources.
- Integrate technology and digital resources effectively into classroom teaching.
- Prepare students for Cambridge O Level and A Level examinations, including question-solving strategies, examination techniques, and effective answer writing.
- Conduct formative and summative assessments in accordance with Cambridge standards.
- Monitor student performance and provide detailed, constructive, and individualised feedback.
- Maintain effective communication with parents through meetings, academic reports, and regular updates.
- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure consistency and continuity across different grade levels.
- Participate in academic activities, departmental meetings, and professional development programmes.
Educational Qualification
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemistry from a reputed university.
Senior Teacher:
- Minimum 5 years of teaching experience in a Cambridge curriculum school.
- Minimum 2 years of relevant teaching experience.
- Freshers with strong academic backgrounds and excellent communication skills may also apply.
- Experience: 5 years
- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemistry from a reputed university.
