Mission Of The Position

The Assistant Project Officer – Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and Learning (MEAL) is responsible for supporting the implementation of the project's Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability, and Learning (MEAL) system to ensure timely collection, verification, analysis, and reporting of high-quality programme data. The position assists in tracking project progress, monitoring performance against approved indicators, maintaining project databases, and supporting evidence-based decision-making to improve programme quality and accountability.

Working closely with the Project Officer (MEAL), Programme Manager, implementing partner, and project staff, the Assistant Project Officer (MEAL) will support field monitoring, digital data collection using platforms such as KoboToolbox and PDB2, data quality assurance, beneficiary database management, and routine reporting. The incumbent will also facilitate community feedback mechanisms, assist in conducting baseline, endline, and periodic assessments, document lessons learned and success stories, and contribute to organizational learning and donor reporting.

The Assistant Project Officer (MEAL) will support the effective monitoring and documentation of all project components, including organizational capacity strengthening, livelihoods, disaster risk reduction (DRR), and child protection, while ensuring compliance with organizational MEAL standards, safeguarding principles, data protection requirements, and donor reporting guidelines.
