Mission Of The Position

The Assistant Project Officer- DRR is responsible for supporting the planning and implementation of disaster risk reduction (DRR), climate resilience, emergency preparedness, and community-based child protection interventions under the STEP Project. The position will work closely with communities, Community-Based Organizations (CBOs), Community Child Protection Committees (CCPCs), Disaster Management Committees (DMCs), Community Own Resource Persons (CORPs), local authorities, and other stakeholders to strengthen community resilience, protect children and vulnerable families, and promote sustainable disaster preparedness and response systems.

Disaster Risk Reduction and Climate Resilience

• Support community entry processes, stakeholder mapping, and risk assessments in project locations.
• Assist in implementing community-based Disaster Risk Reduction initiatives.
  
  

Requirements

• Experience: 2-3 years
• Education: bachelor of development studies (bds-dev)
• Skills: cdm co-ordinator, civil society development, cdm coordinator, ngoss, project support, disaster response, sosl, project co-ordination, sos, disaster preparedness
