Cutting Assistant Production Manager (Knit Garments).
Job Responsibilities
- Monitor the cutting input on line and check the production on daily basis.
- Check the marker, fabric consumption, fabric quality before starting the bulk cutting.
- Study and strictly follow cutting manuals of all buyers in order to avoid any cutting mistake.
- Determine cutting target with the help of in-charge and supervisor to increase the productivity and reduce labour cost.
- Ensure cost reduction by reducing all kind of cutting wastage, rejection, over cutting, and extra hour work.
- Managing all the operations in the Cutting Department, attending to all technical and administrative issues, coordinating with other sections (such as fabric inspection, CAD, sewing) and the management, and advising the team to ensure all issues related to the cutting process are resolved efficiently and effectively.
- Supervising and ensuring that Lay sheet & marker from CAD & fabric from store are received as per daily cut plan.
- Responsible for ensuring that fabric laying, relaxing, cutting & bundling operation is running as per plan & capacity.
- Responsible for ensuring that cutting is done based on the line priority & backline/Sub-store requirements.
- Communicating with the relevant department to generate the most effective solutions to the operational and technical issues.
- Monitoring and controlling material over-consumption in the Cutting Department to reduce additional cost.
- Ensuring the accurate scheduling of the sectional output and appropriate manpower balancing to production priorities.
- Developing technical skills and improving the methods of the employees in the Cutting Department to facilitate productivity and efficiency improvement.
- Attending pre-production meetings to understand critical technical or quality issues and educating the subordinates on the necessary precautionary measures.
- Ensure health and safety and cleanliness procedures are maintained at all times, and any behaviors of subordinates that could affect the H&S risks are addressed.
- Any duties & responsibilities assigned by the Management from time to time, as deemed necessary.
- Prepare report on production, maintenance, people, quality, safety, consumption, monthly stock, and production cost.
- Ensure safety, quality and compliance activities in workplace.
- Ensure and maintain a clean and tidy site.
- Perform any other tasks as assigned by the superior.
- Experience: 10-15 years

- Skills: technical knowledge of garment production, knit garment production, knit garment manufacturing, garment production, fabric cutting, garment manufacturing, garment industry knowledge, garment finishing, textile industry knowledge, production management
