Role Description The Assistant Operations Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Dhaka. This position supports day-to-day hospital and healthcare operations, including coordinating clinical and non-clinical departments, monitoring service quality, and ensuring adherence to policies and regulatory requirements. The role involves overseeing staffing schedules, optimizing resource utilization, and assisting with workflow improvements to enhance patient experience and operational efficiency. The Assistant Operations Manager will track key performance metrics, prepare reports for senior management, and help implement corrective action plans where needed. This role also includes collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, supporting emergency and escalation processes, and participating in projects that strengthen the overall service delivery network.

Qualifications

• Strong operations management and process improvement skills, including coordination of daily activities, workflow optimization, and resource planning.
• Experience with healthcare or hospital administration, including patient flow management, service quality monitoring, and compliance with clinical and safety standards.
• Proficiency in data analysis and reporting, using spreadsheets or hospital information systems to track KPIs, prepare dashboards, and support decision-making.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills for collaborating with medical, nursing, administrative, and support teams, and handling patient or family inquiries professionally.
• Organizational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple responsibilities, and respond calmly to operational challenges.
• Working knowledge of basic HR and administrative practices, such as shift scheduling, documentation, and adherence to organizational policies.
• Comfort with digital tools and healthcare IT systems; familiarity with EMR/HIS platforms is an advantage.
• Bachelor’s degree in Hospital Management, Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or a related field; a master’s degree or relevant certification is an added benefit.
• Prior experience in a hospital or large healthcare facility operations role is preferred.
