Assistant Manager, Tax, VAT & Payment Management

We are currently seeking a "Assistant Manager, Tax, VAT & Payment Management" to join our team. The role will be responsible for managing Tax and VAT compliance, payment processing, reconciliations, and related financial operations, while ensuring adherence to applicable regulatory requirements and internal policies.

Job Overview:

• Manage day-to-day Tax and VAT compliance, including TDS/VDS deductions, deposits, returns, certificates, and statutory reporting.
• Ensure accurate Tax/VAT treatment of financial transactions and maintain proper supporting documentation.
• Handle Accounts Payable activities, including invoice verification, payment processing, vendor settlements, and expense claims.
• Review payment requests and supporting documents to ensure compliance with internal policies, approvals, and financial controls.
• Process and coordinate payments through banking and digital payment channels, ensuring timely and accurate settlement.
• Maintain and reconcile vendor accounts, payment records, Tax/VAT ledgers, and relevant GL accounts.
• Prepare periodic Tax, VAT, AP, payment, and reconciliation reports for management.
• Support internal/external audits, tax assessments, and regulatory inspections by providing required schedules and documentation.

Key Requirements:

• Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in Tax, VAT, Accounts Payable, accounting, or finance operations.
• Strong knowledge of Bangladesh Tax & VAT laws, TDS/VDS, and statutory compliance.
• Sound understanding of Accounts Payable, payment processing, reconciliation, and financial controls.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting/ERP software.
