Role Description The Assistant Manager is a full-time, on-site position based in Dinājpur. This role supports the planning, coordination, and implementation of projects and programs, ensuring activities align with organizational goals and community needs. Day-to-day responsibilities include supervising staff, monitoring field activities, preparing reports, and maintaining documentation and records. The Assistant Manager will liaise with partners, donors, and community stakeholders, assist with budgeting and resource allocation, and help organize meetings, workshops, and training sessions. The role also involves tracking progress against targets, identifying operational challenges, and recommending improvements to enhance efficiency and impact.
Qualifications

• Demonstrated skills in project coordination, planning, and monitoring to support effective program implementation.
• Strong administrative and organizational abilities, including documentation, reporting, and record-keeping.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills for working with colleagues, community members, and external stakeholders.
• Basic financial understanding for assisting with budgeting, expenditure tracking, and resource management.
• Ability to lead and supervise staff, provide guidance, and foster a collaborative team environment.
• Proficiency in common office software (e.g., word processing, spreadsheets, email) and comfort with learning new tools.
• Bachelor’s degree in social sciences, development studies, management, or a related field; a master’s degree is an advantage.
• Prior experience in NGO or community development work, especially in field-based roles, is highly beneficial.
• Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently with integrity and accountability.
• Willingness to travel within the region as needed and familiarity with local context in Dinājpur and surrounding areas.
