Assistant Manager

Company Description Fiber@Home Ltd., operating under a National Telecommunication Transmission Network (NTTN) license from the Bangladesh Telecommunication Regulatory Commission (BTRC), is building a secure and robust nationwide optical fiber backbone network to international standards. Its underground HDPE duct-based infrastructure in metropolitan areas supports a high-capacity Metro Ethernet network that connects major districts and upazilas across Bangladesh. Since its official launch in January 2009, the company has focused on extending connectivity up to Upazila headquarters, positioning its network as a core backbone for modern telecommunications and digital entertainment services. Fiber@Home also holds licenses for International Internet Gateway (IIG) and International Terrestrial Cable (ITC) services, enabling comprehensive transmission solutions for service providers and enterprises.
Role Description The Assistant Manager role at Fiber@Home Ltd. is a full-time, on-site position based in Bangladesh. The Assistant Manager will support day-to-day operations, including coordinating network projects, monitoring ongoing activities, and assisting in the implementation of process improvements within their assigned department. This role involves preparing reports, tracking key performance indicators, and collaborating with internal teams and external partners to ensure smooth service delivery and adherence to regulatory and company standards. The Assistant Manager will also contribute to planning and scheduling, assist in managing resources and budgets as required, and help resolve operational issues in a timely, professional manner.

• Candidates should possess strong organizational and coordination skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
• Candidates should possess solid analytical and problem-solving abilities, including comfort with data analysis, reporting, and basic performance metrics.
• Candidates should possess clear written and verbal communication skills, with capability to collaborate across teams and interact with stakeholders professionally.
• Candidates should possess foundational knowledge of telecom or network infrastructure, or a strong interest in learning about fiber-optic transmission and related services.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Telecommunications, or a related field is preferred.
• Prior experience in operations, project coordination, or telecom/IT environments will be an advantage.
• Proficiency in standard office software (e.g., spreadsheets, presentations, documentation tools) and comfort working with digital systems.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as in cross-functional teams, with a proactive and detail-oriented approach.
