Job Summary
The Assistant Manager – Business Development is responsible for supporting the execution of business development strategies to drive hospital growth by increasing patient volume, strengthening referral networks, coordinating consultant recruitment, and identifying new business opportunities. The incumbent will work closely with the Manager – BDD and other departments to enhance service utilization, strengthen market presence, and achieve departmental revenue targets.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the implementation of business development strategies to achieve departmental revenue targets and increase OPD, IPD, diagnostic, surgical, and emergency patient volumes.
- Coordinate consultant recruitment by conducting market mapping, identifying potential consultants, arranging interviews, supporting onboarding activities, and maintaining long-term professional relationships.
- Develop and strengthen referral networks with General Practitioners (GPs), family physicians, clinics, diagnostic centres, and other healthcare providers through regular visits and relationship-building activities.
- Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify business opportunities, evaluate market trends, and recommend strategies for growth.
- Assist in planning and executing promotional campaigns, health awareness programmes, corporate visits, and community outreach initiatives.
- Monitor business development activities, prepare reports, and support the Manager – BDD in achieving departmental objectives.
- Coordinate with internal departments to ensure effective execution of business development initiatives.
- Perform any other responsibilities assigned by the reporting manager or hospital management.
- Experience: 4 to 5 years
- Education: Graduation in Marketing, Business Administration, Hospital Management, or a related discipline from a recognized university
- Skills: Business Development, Business Analysis
