Role Description The Assistant IT Manager is a full-time, on-site position based in Dhaka, Bangladesh. This role supports the IT Manager in overseeing daily IT operations, including monitoring network performance, managing servers, and ensuring the smooth functioning of hardware and software systems. The Assistant IT Manager will assist in implementing IT policies and security protocols, coordinating system upgrades, and troubleshooting issues for internal users. Responsibilities include collaborating with vendors, maintaining documentation, supporting data backup and recovery procedures, and contributing to IT-related projects that improve efficiency across the Group. The role involves close coordination with different business units to understand their technology needs and provide timely, effective support.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess skills in IT infrastructure management, including basic knowledge of networking, server administration, and system monitoring.
• Candidates should possess skills in troubleshooting and technical support, including diagnosing hardware and software issues and providing user support in a structured manner.
• Candidates should possess skills related to IT security and data protection, such as understanding firewalls, antivirus tools, access control, and backup and recovery procedures.
• Candidates should possess skills in documentation and process management, including maintaining IT records, asset inventories, and standard operating procedures.
• Candidates should possess skills in communication and collaboration, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and external vendors.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred; relevant diplomas or certifications (e.g., network or system administration) are an advantage.
• Prior experience in an IT support or junior IT management role within a manufacturing or corporate environment is beneficial.
• Ability to work on-site full time in Dhaka, Bangladesh, with strong problem-solving skills and a commitment to responsible, ethical business practices.
