Assistant Fashion Designer

Role Description The Assistant Fashion Designer is a full-time, on-site role based in Uttara. This role supports the design team in developing garment concepts, preparing sketches, and assisting in the creation of sample collections aligned with client requirements and market trends. Day-to-day tasks include coordinating fittings, reviewing fabrics and trims, supporting embroidery and textile selection, and communicating with production teams to ensure design feasibility and quality. The Assistant Fashion Designer will also help maintain design documentation, track style details, and collaborate closely with senior designers and merchandising to meet project timelines.
Qualifications

• Strong skills in Fashion Design and Fashion, with the ability to translate concepts into clear sketches and technical details.
• Knowledge of Textiles and Embroidery, including fabric properties, embellishment techniques, and appropriate applications for different garment types.
• Experience with Fitting processes, including understanding garment measurements, drape, and adjustments needed for production-ready samples.
• Proficiency in design tools (e.g., Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, or similar software) and basic understanding of garment construction.
• Diploma or bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design, Textile Design, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Strong attention to detail, ability to follow design guidelines, and willingness to learn in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work closely with designers, technicians, and production teams on-site.
