- Quotation & Procurement: Preparing accurate price quotations based on vessel requisitions, gathering competitive market prices, and purchasing high-quality dry provisions as well as wet/fresh provisions (e.g., fresh fish, meat, vegetables, and fruits).
- Quality Control & On-Board Delivery: Ensuring strict quality inspection prior to purchase, transporting provisions directly to the vessel, verifying items against Challan & Gate Pass, and safely handing them over to the designated vessel recipient.
- Logistics & Inventory Monitoring: Supervising proper storage, handling, packaging, and stock levels to prevent degradation during transport and ensure safe handling of perishable food items.
- Liaison & Communication: Maintaining active liaison and continuous coordination with the vessel's receiving personnel (e.g., Chief Cook/Master/Chief Officer), ship management, and port authorities for smooth supply operations.
- Documentation & Billing: Managing all supply-related documentation, including bills, gate passes, challans, and signed delivery notes for timely billing settlement.
- Permissions & Operational Duties: Obtaining necessary ship repair work permissions and provision supply clearances from port, customs, and port security authorities.
- Any other responsibility given by the Management.
- Experience: 3-4 years
- Education:
- Skills: ship management, shipment coordination, shipping and receiving, fleet operations
