Role Description The Area Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Jessore, responsible for overseeing branch operations and performance within the assigned area. The role includes monitoring business targets, managing branch-level sales and service activities, and ensuring adherence to banking policies and regulatory requirements. The Area Manager will lead and coach branch teams, drive customer acquisition and retention, and promote UCB’s products and services to meet growth objectives. Daily responsibilities also involve reviewing financial reports, resolving escalated customer issues, coordinating with head office departments, and implementing strategic initiatives to improve operational efficiency and service quality.
Qualifications

• Proven skills in branch or area management, including supervision of multiple locations and team leadership.
• Experience in retail and corporate banking operations, with strong understanding of lending, deposits, and compliance.
• Ability to develop and execute sales and business development plans, with a focus on trade, commerce, and industry clients.
• Strong analytical and decision-making skills to interpret financial data and drive performance improvement.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage customers, guide teams, and collaborate with senior management.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field; a graduate degree or professional banking certification is an advantage.
• Demonstrated integrity, customer-centric mindset, and familiarity with local market dynamics in Jessore or surrounding regions.
• Ability to work under pressure, manage competing priorities, and adapt to evolving regulatory and business environments.
