Role Description The Area Manager is a full-time remote role responsible for driving sales performance and market growth within an assigned territory. This position oversees field teams, sets clear targets, and monitors daily activities to ensure effective coverage of healthcare professionals, institutions, and distributors. The Area Manager plans and executes territory strategies, organizes promotional activities, and ensures proper implementation of marketing plans and product positioning. Daily tasks include coaching and mentoring team members, reviewing sales data and market trends, preparing reports, and maintaining strong professional relationships with key stakeholders. The role also involves ensuring compliance with company policies, ethical standards, and regulatory requirements while collaborating with cross-functional teams to support business objectives.
Qualifications
- Strong leadership, team management, and coaching abilities to guide and develop field personnel.
- Proficiency in territory planning, sales forecasting, and performance monitoring, with a focus on meeting and exceeding targets.
- Effective communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills with healthcare professionals and business partners.
- Solid understanding of pharmaceutical sales practices, market dynamics, and regulatory and compliance requirements.
- Ability to work remotely with high levels of accountability, time management, and self-motivation.
- Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy, Business, or a related discipline; an advanced degree or MBA is an advantage.
- Prior experience in pharmaceutical field sales or area management is strongly preferred.
- Comfort with using digital tools, CRM systems, and standard office software for reporting and communication.
- Willingness to travel within the assigned territory as business needs require.
