Role Description: The Analyst (Bangladesh) will be a full-time, hybrid team member based in Dhaka, Bangladesh, supporting Globesight’s work related to Bangladesh and the broader South Asia region. This role involves conducting qualitative and quantitative research on development trends, stakeholders, and programs, and synthesizing findings into clear analyses, briefs, and presentations. The analyst will contribute to strategy development for clients by mapping ecosystems, assessing opportunities and risks, and supporting the design of initiatives and partnerships. Day-to-day responsibilities include drafting reports and concept notes, preparing client-facing materials, supporting project management and coordination, and collaborating with colleagues and external partners to ensure timely delivery of high-quality work. The analyst will also monitor relevant policy and funding landscapes, contribute to internal knowledge sharing, and participate in meetings and workshops as needed.

Qualifications

• Strong analytical and research skills, including experience with qualitative and quantitative methods, data interpretation, and synthesizing complex information.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to produce clear reports, briefs, and presentations for diverse audiences.
• Demonstrated knowledge of global development, particularly in South Asia and Bangladesh, including familiarity with key actors, thematic areas, and policy environments.
• Proficiency with productivity and collaboration tools (e.g., Microsoft Office or Google Workspace, presentation software, and online research tools).
• Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, project-oriented environment.
• Collaborative mindset and interpersonal skills to work with cross-cultural, distributed teams and engage with external partners and stakeholders.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in public policy, international development, economics, political science, or a related field.
• 2-3 years professional experience in consulting, research, philanthropy, non-profit, or development organizations is highly beneficial.
• Knowledge of Bangladesh’s socio-economic context and development landscape
