Role Description The Advocate role is a full-time, on-site position located in Dhaka, Bangladesh. The Advocate will represent clients in court, prepare legal documents and submissions, and provide legal advice based on current laws and regulations. Daily responsibilities include researching case law and statutes, drafting petitions, contracts, and opinions, and appearing before various courts and tribunals. The Advocate will meet with clients to understand their legal issues, develop case strategies, and maintain accurate case files and documentation. Collaboration with colleagues, adherence to professional ethics, and continuous learning on legal developments are integral to this role.
Qualifications

• Strong legal research and analytical skills, including the ability to interpret statutes, case law, and regulations.
• Proficiency in drafting legal documents such as petitions, contracts, opinions, and correspondence.
• Effective advocacy and courtroom skills, including preparation for hearings, arguments, and client representation.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Bangla, with the ability to explain complex legal issues clearly.
• High standards of professional ethics, integrity, and confidentiality in handling client matters.
• Ability to manage multiple cases, prioritize tasks, and maintain accurate and organized case files.
• Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) from a recognized institution; enrollment with the Bangladesh Bar Council is required.
• Prior experience practicing as an Advocate or working in a law chamber or legal organization is an advantage.
• Commitment to continuous professional development and staying updated on legal and regulatory changes in Bangladesh.
