Amra Kaj Kory (AKK) is a non-profit earning and non-government voluntary development organization, which came into existence in the year 1985. It is registered with NGO Affairs Bureau, No. 715 dated 06 June 1993 and last renewal dated 06 June 2018. It is also registered with Microcredit Regulatory Authority No. 01613-01081-00661 dated 07 October 2012.

Amra Kaj Kory (AKK) is implementing a project titled ‘Recovery and Advancement of Informal Sector Employment (RAISE)’ jointly financed by the Government of Bangladesh and Palli Karma-Sahayak Foundation (PKSF). The goal of the project is to provide services that will enhance earning opportunities for low-income urban youth, and urban youth impacted by COVID-19. The RAISE project has been implementing across the country through selected Partner Organizations of PKSF. As a Partner organization of PKSF, Amra Kaj Kory (AKK) is implementing the RAISE project in its catchment area. AKK is seeking a competent project management professional under the RAISE–AF project. The detailed Terms of Reference (ToR) of the positions are given below.

The Accounts and MIS Officer is responsible for the overall management of the project at the Project Implementation Unit (PIU) level. S/he will work under the direct supervision of the Executive Director of the organization.

Major Responsibilities

• Maintain all books of accounts of the Project and maintain bank accounts, cash management, fixed assets management, stock management, advance and reimbursement, audit arrangements, Tax and VAT regulations and compliance with the Project.
• Prepare budget and ensure actual expenditure is in line with the budget, maintain disbursement, reconciliation, and loan disbursement according to project Financial Guideline ;
• Maintain liaison and coordinate with PMU accounts department regarding project accounts, and finance ;
• Coordinate with the Project Management Unit(PMU),PKSF, Project Implementation Unit(PIU) and relevant stockholders regarding CMS- related reporting, data reconciliation and information management issues ;and
• Perform any other tasks assigned by the management.

Work Station: Faridpur & Rajbari District; extensive field visit across the country is required.

Assignment Duration: 4 Years (Up to June 2030), annually renewable based on performance

Requirements

• Experience: 5 years
• Education: bachelor of business administration in accounting
