Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Accountant role based in Dhaka. The Accountant will manage day-to-day bookkeeping activities, including recording financial transactions, maintaining ledgers, and reconciling bank statements. Responsibilities include preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, assisting with budgeting and forecasting, and monitoring cash flow. The role involves handling accounts payable and receivable, processing invoices, verifying expense claims, and ensuring timely payments and collections. The Accountant will also support tax preparation and compliance, assist with internal and external audits, and help implement and maintain sound financial controls and accounting policies. Collaboration with management and other departments to provide accurate financial data and insights is an essential part of this role.
Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong accounting and finance skills, including general ledger management, financial reporting, and familiarity with accounting standards.
• Candidates should possess proficiency with accounting software and spreadsheets, along with solid data entry and numerical analysis skills.
• Candidates should possess skills in budgeting, cost analysis, and financial planning to support management decision-making.
• Candidates should possess an understanding of tax regulations, compliance requirements, and audit processes relevant to local laws.
• Candidates should possess strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Candidates should possess effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams on-site.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional certifications (e.g., CA, CMA, ACCA) are an advantage.
• Prior experience as an accountant or in a similar finance role, preferably within manufacturing or the RMG sector, is highly beneficial.
