Account Executive

Akashbari Hotels & Resorts Ltd. is a partner and affiliate of the country’s top travel and tourism organization Akashbari Holidays. It started its project in the hotel and resort tourism sector. 2 projects are already under construction, while another 2 are in the process of acquisition.

We are looking for a qualified, experienced, and highly motivated professional to join our Finance & Accounts Department as an Account Executive.

Job Location(Head Office) : Banani, Dhaka, Bangladesh

Key Responsibilities

·       Maintain daily accounting records, ledgers and bookkeeping.

·       Ensure timely and accurate posting of all financial transactions.

·       Supervise vendor payments, supplier settlements and staff reimbursements.

·       Maintain and monitor Accounts Payable & Accounts Receivable.

·       Prepare and review Bank Reconciliation Statements.

·       Ensure timely compliance with applicable VAT, Tax, TDS and employee Income Tax requirements.

·       Liaise with external auditors, tax consultants, banks and relevant regulatory authorities.

·       Support internal and external audit processes.

·       Monitor daily cash and bank transactions and ensure effective cash-flow management.

·       Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and financial forecasts.

·       Monitor budget utilization and analyze budget variances.

·       Prepare daily, monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports.

·       Assist in the preparation of management accounts and financial statements.

·       Maintain proper records of hotel/resort revenue, expenses, purchases and operational costs.

·       Ensure proper accounting and documentation of inventories, fixed assets and other financial resources.

·       Maintain proper documentation and financial records in accordance with applicable accounting standards and company policies.

·       Review accounting procedures and recommend improvements where necessary.

·       Supervise, guide and train junior accounts personnel.

·       Perform other finance and accounting responsibilities assigned by management.

Educational & Professional Qualification

• Graduation in Accounting / Finance / Business Administration or a related field.
• CA (CC) / Part-qualified CA will be highly preferred.
• Professional certification or relevant training in Accounting, Finance, VAT & Tax will be considered an added advantage.

Experience

• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in Finance & Accounts.
• Experience in hotels, resort, hospitality, tourism, real estate or group of companies will be preferred.
• At least 2 years of experience in a supervisory/managerial position will be an advantage.
• Candidates with strong experience in financial reporting, budgeting, cash-flow management, VAT & Tax compliance and audit coordination are encouraged to apply.
