3D Modeler (Assets creation) — Freelance / Project-Based (Physical AI Training Data)

Role Description This is a remote, contract role for a 3D Modeler focused on creating physical AI training data assets. Day-to-day tasks include designing, modeling, and refining 3D objects based on project specifications and reference materials. The 3D Modeler will be responsible for preparing clean, optimized models suitable for various AI training and visualization workflows, including proper topology, UVs, and file organization. The role involves working in Blender or similar tools to apply basic lighting setups when needed, collaborating with project coordinators to meet technical requirements, and delivering work on schedule. The contractor will communicate progress, respond to feedback, and adjust models to align with quality and consistency standards.
Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong 3D Design and 3D Modeling skills for creating accurate, detailed digital assets.
• Candidates should possess solid Modeler experience, including working with different object types and levels of complexity.
• Candidates should possess proficiency with Blender and familiarity with comparable 3D software tools.
• Candidates should possess foundational Lighting skills for presenting and reviewing models in a clear visual context.
• Relevant additional qualifications include experience preparing models for production or AI workflows, strong attention to geometry quality and naming conventions, and the ability to follow technical briefs.
• Strong communication skills, reliability in meeting deadlines, and comfort working independently in a remote, freelance environment are important.
• Prior freelance or project-based 3D work, a portfolio demonstrating relevant models, and familiarity with version control or asset management tools are beneficial.
